Krista Davis lives and writes in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She resided in Northern Virginia for many years and lived for a time in Old Town, Alexandria.

She has a gregarious Ocicat named Mochie who can open cabinets and leap to amazing heights. Her dogs, including a Golden Retriever who isn’t golden and won’t retrieve, consider Krista’s writing career a convenient second job that allows her to be available for her primary job as door opener, canine cuisine chef, and walking assistant.

Krista’s fascination with mysteries was fueled by Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and Agatha Christie.  Like her protagonist, Sophie Winston, in her "Domestic Diva Mystery Series", Krista loves to entertain friends and family, but would just as soon leave cleaning to someone else.

This series features, Sophie Winston, an event planner in Alexandria, Virginia.

The books in this series satisfy almost all my requirements for what makes a wonderful 'Cozy Murder Mystery', including finely plotted mysteries, polished writing, decent language, entertaining humour, interesting characters and delightful atmosphere. The only thing that I could have desired further was for the romantic life of the protagonist to be more settled.

1) The Diva Runs Out of Thyme (2008)

Few can compete with Natasha Smith when it comes to entertaining, but her childhood rival, Sophie Winston, certainly tries. While Natasha is known for her intricate centerpieces and painstakingly prepared gourmet meals, Sophie likes to keep things simple...real simple. Natasha may have stolen the spotlight--and Sophie's husband--but Sophie is determined to take home the prize at the Stupendous Stuffing Shakedown. She just needs the right ingredients...

However, Sophie's search for the perfect turkey takes a basting when she stumbles across a corpse. And when the police find her name and photo inside the victim's car, they think she has some explaining to do. Sophie will have to set her trussing aside to solve the murder or she'll be serving up prison grub--and that definitely wouldn't be a good thing.

2) The Diva Takes the Cake (2009)
3) The Diva Paints the Town (2009)

(Books Not Yet Read)

4) The Diva Cooks a Goose (2010)
5) The Diva Haunts the House (2011)
6) The Diva Digs Up the Dirt (2012)
7) The Diva Frosts a Cupcake (2013)
8) The Diva Wraps It Up (2014)
10) The Diva Steals a Chocolate Kiss (expected in 2015)

This series is set in Wagtail Mountains, Virginia, and features Holly Miller, who helps to run the family-owned Sugar Maple Inn, which is the country's premiere vacation hot spot for pet owners who can’t bear to leave their furry friends behind.

1) Murder, She Barked (2013)
2) The Ghost and Mrs. Mewer (2014)
